Colly Portfolio

Your local records, under your control.

Purchase and sync help

Currently in private developer testing on Windows. Purchase sign-in and Pro purchases will open after integration checks. Other platforms have not been released; Windows 8.1 compatibility has not been verified.

Which account does what?

Local accounts store your subscription records. Your purchase identity links Pro and your devices. Your Microsoft Store account handles payment. To restore a purchase, use the original purchase identity and the Store account used to buy it. Your purchase identity is securely remembered on this device and can be verified automatically after a restart. Signing out removes its local sign-in credentials.

Offline use and sync

You can manage local records and sync offline; sync does not check your purchase online. After Pro activation, the app refreshes your purchase status online from time to time. If that is unavailable, your verified local rights and records are kept.

Relinking a Store purchase

On a Windows device that supports Microsoft Store purchases, sign in with your original purchase identity and the Store account used to buy Pro, then choose Restore purchase. This renews access to Store purchase checks. You do not need to pay again.

Five devices and replacing a device

Each purchase identity can authorize up to five active devices. At the limit, unlink an old device in Manage devices, then activate the new one. Unlinking does not delete local records on that device; using licensed features again requires verification. Device verification saves the system device name with the authorization service so you can identify it. Older devices without a name are updated on their next verification.

How are sync files saved?

When you initiate a sync, Colly Portfolio writes encrypted sync files to your chosen folder. Filenames include the device name. Your cloud storage client transfers them according to its settings. Do not remove individual historical files from a folder still in use. When you stop using the entire folder, you can decide whether to keep or delete it. If any devices are waiting to sync, complete their sync before deleting it.

Paid, but Pro is not active yet

Check your purchase identity and Store account, then choose Restore purchase. If payment is pending or verification fails, try again later instead of paying twice.

Deleting versus signing out

Signing out or unlinking a device does not delete local records. Deleting a local account does not delete your cloud purchase identity. Deleting the purchase identity deactivates device authorizations and removes encrypted Store query credentials. Minimal authorization records needed to prevent duplicate claims and reversal of revocations are retained.
